I’m very pleased and excited to be attending the Independent Fashion Bloggers event, Evolving Influence in New York in a few days time.

The combination of time spent in my favourite world city, with a blogging meetup involving luminaries such as Susie Bubble and Bryanboy was too much to resist. Not really sure what to expect, as normally such ‘conference’ type situations make my skin crawl, but the opportunity to meet lots of likeminded fashion blogging obsessives and to be in the city for NYFW and FNO are exciting possibilities. Watch this space.

Incidentally, I’m super impressed with the organisation behind FNO (Fashion’s Night Out) when all of New York’s fashion heads put out – events range from the Wintour-attended to low key show ups at boutiques and stores across town and you can put your own map together of events you’re attending. I’m (so far) most excited about Opening Ceremony (who will be hosting a Paris-themed fleamarket in the foyer of my hotel, ACNE studio, E. Tautz at Barney’s (more on that to come), UNIS, OAK, and jeweler/metalsmith Philip Crangi.
